- A single startup or SME, or a small mid-cap with up to 499 employees. Applicants from third countries such as Chile may submit the short application but must relocate the company to the EU or an associated country before the full application (step 2).

- Grant below EUR 2.5 million (TRL 6 to 8, 24 months) plus an investment component of EUR 1 to 10 million
- Duration
- 24 months for the grant component
