The Fondo de Garantía para Pequeños Empresarios, run by BancoEstado and supervised by the financial regulator, backs part of the loans that banks and cooperatives give to micro, small and medium companies without collateral. Two programmes run today: the traditional FOGAPE, allocated through periodic auctions, and FOGAPE Chile Apoya, extended in 2024 to every economic activity. The company applies at its bank or cooperative.
